Putting Your Safety First
Your health is always our priority, and that hasn’t changed as our lives have been upended by COVID-19. We’re continuing to make our clinic as safe as possible to protect our patients and staff.
Of course, things can change quickly, so please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions.
Our COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Arriving at Our Clinic
Our front door is electronically locked at this time, so we invite you to announce your arrival with our buzzer, which is connected to a video camera with audio. We’ll ask for your name and the time of your appointment and then will welcome you inside.
Please note that appointments are required for all our services right now, including eye exams, glasses adjustments, and shopping for eyewear.
Masking & Questionnaire
We require all patients to wear a mask and pass our COVID questionnaire. Patients with a vented mask, poorly fitted masks, or bandanas will be provided with a medical mask to wear while in the clinic.
Picking Up Glasses & Other Purchases
We have a dropbox on the east side of our building for picking up glasses, vitamins, and eye drops. We use an online payment system so you can pay for your purchases via a digital invoice ahead of time.
Eye Exams
When you enter the clinic for your eye exam, please use our sanitizing station. You can then proceed to the front desk, which is behind a large Plexiglass barrier, which provides extra protection for both you and our staff.
We’ll have you fill in a COVID screening questionnaire, and when you pass, we’ll take you to our pre-test room for your exam.
Our exams are 40 minutes long to allow for thorough cleaning between patients. All surfaces are wiped between patients. There are UV HEPA filters in all the rooms and a UV system in the furnace ductwork to provide clean, hygienic air.
Frame Boutique
When you enter the clinic to shop for frames, please use our sanitizing station. You can then proceed to the front desk, located behind a large Plexiglas barrier to provide extra protection for you and our staff.
We’ll have you fill in your COVID screening questionnaire, and when you pass, we’ll take you to our frames boutique. We’re delighted to offer personalized, one-on-one service as you pick out your new glasses.
All frames handled by patients are kept in a basket then put into a UV sterilizer afterwards. We only allow one person in the frame room at a time.
Staff Screening
All our team members must pass a COVID screening before work and wash their hands when they enter the clinic. Our team members all wear scrubs, masks, protective eyewear, and gloves. While you can’t see their smiles, you can be sure they’re there.
Our clinic is wiped down several times a day and professionally cleaned and sanitized weekly.
Check-ins & Check-Outs
Please be mindful that there are separate doors for patients entering and exiting the clinic. Be sure to use the correct doors when visiting us for your appointment!
